Recognizing the Unsung Champions of Human-First AI at Work
When we talk about AI in the workplace, the conversation usually centers on execs making strategic decisions, vendors making bold promises, or data scientists building sophisticated models.
But the real AI heroes? They’re the IT support specialists responding to frustrated employees at 2 AM. The HR platform owners ensuring AI doesn’t expose PII. The quality managers maintaining guardrails when nobody’s watching.
These are the practitioners who take responsibility every day for ensuring AI is used responsibly to help employees do more work that matters. They often aren’t recognized for their commitment, passion, and creativity.
That’s why we’ve launched the PeopleReign AI Heroes Awards.
Humans are Still Critical to Success
AI is great at automation, but pretty terrible at understanding context, fairness, and the human impact of its decisions without knowledgeable people steering it. The gap between AI capability and responsible AI implementation isn’t closed by technology—it’s closed by people.
The challenge lies in a fundamental truth: implementing AI that genuinely improves employee experience requires domain expertise, constant vigilance, and a human-first mindset.
The practitioners doing this work every day rarely get credit for the important work that they do. They’re troubleshooting integrations, configuring access controls, monitoring for bias, and refining workflows while others sleep. Their work makes the difference between AI that delights employees and AI that frustrates them (or even puts employees or sensitive data at risk).
Meet the Inaugural Class of AI Heroes
We’re proud to recognize three exceptional practitioners who exemplify the spirit of responsible AI implementation:

Xavier Solorio, Senior IT Support Specialist, Fenwick & West
Xavier helps attorneys, staff, and clients with technology needs ranging from conference room AV to application troubleshooting. He frequently fixes technology in high-pressure situations when important meetings are in progress.
What motivates Xavier? “Helping someone solve a problem that makes things run smoother.” He values “working with an amazing team to make a significant difference” and embraces the “growth and learning opportunities” his role provides.

Thrinaynee Reddy, Senior Director of Platform Applications, Parsons Corporation
Thrinaynee leads “Concierge AI,” Parsons’ employee service virtual agent that resolves hundreds of thousands of IT and HR requests annually. She owns AI configuration and integrations with systems like Salesforce and Workday, converting agentic AI capabilities into workflows that eliminate the need for support tickets.
What drives her? “Seeing how our solutions drive meaningful results and hearing direct feedback from users who benefit from them every day. It’s incredibly rewarding to see complex employee service challenges resolved in moments, empowering teams to focus on higher-value work.”

Martin Sanders, Head of IT Quality, SCC
Martin oversees SCC’s AI initiative (branded “TrinITy”) across Europe and Asia. Under his leadership, AI has become the most common way for SCC employees to get IT help. He coordinates priorities across time zones and is often called upon in the middle of the night.
What inspires him? “Achieving what we do with the team across countries gives me an enormous sense of satisfaction and pride. Being part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality IT solutions—each project is an opportunity to innovate, solve complex problems, and make a difference.”
THE AI HEROES MINDSET
Every member of this first class exemplifies what it means to be an AI hero. They:
Prioritize Transparency
- Ensure employees know when AI is making decisions
- Provide clear explanations of how AI reaches conclusions
- Maintain visibility into data sources and processes
Maintain Predictability
- Test rigorously before deployment
- Monitor continuously for drift and degradation
- Establish consistent performance standards
Enable Configurability
- Build human override capabilities
- Create feedback loops for continuous improvement
- Maintain guardrails and access controls
Stay Human-First
- Focus on augmenting human intelligence, not replacing it
- Reduce employee friction and unlock human potential
- Measure impact on employee experience, not just efficiency
With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility
AI is Bayesian inference plus data at scale. That power comes with complexity and risk that requires dedicated expertise to manage responsibly.
One AI mishap can destroy trust across an entire organization. One poorly configured integration exposes sensitive data. One biased algorithm creates unfair outcomes that ripple through careers and lives.
AI heroes understand these stakes. They’re the ones evaluating use cases, monitoring accuracy, configuring integrations, and maintaining guardrails. They make AI work for employees rather than the other way around.
NOMINATE AN AI HERO
Know someone who deserves recognition for their commitment to human-first AI at work?
We’re accepting nominations for the next class of AI Heroes. These are the unsung practitioners who:
- Evaluate and implement AI use cases responsibly
- Monitor AI accuracy and performance continuously
- Configure and maintain integrations with enterprise systems
- Establish and enforce AI governance guardrails
- Prioritize employee experience in every decision
- Drive adoption through training and support
Email heroes@peoplereign.io with the subject line “AI Hero nomination” and tell us why your colleague deserves recognition.
THE BOTTOM LINE
The future of work depends on people who take responsibility for ensuring technology serves humanity rather than the other way around.
Xavier, Thrinaynee, and Martin represent the best of what’s possible when practitioners combine technical expertise with a genuine commitment to improving work life for others. They’re the real AI heroes.
Congratulations to our first class of 2026 AI Heroes. You’re inspiring a new generation of practitioners to build AI that empowers every employee to do their best work.
